Who it's for

You might recognize your kid here

InnerBeat is for kids ages 6–12 who sometimes hold back, give up when things feel hard, worry about getting things right, or look to others for reassurance.

These are years when comparison, mistakes, and what other people think can start carrying more weight.

The kid who gives up when things feel hard.

They say: 'I can't do it.' 'I'm not good at this.' 'I don't want to try.' Not because they lack ability. Sometimes frustration feels bigger than the possibility of discovering something new. InnerBeat helps them discover: 'I can try.' 'I can explore.' 'I can find my own way.'

The kid who wants to get it right.

They are careful. They notice every mistake. Sometimes they avoid trying because getting something wrong feels worse than not trying at all. InnerBeat helps them discover: mistakes are not proof that they are failing. They are part of learning, creating, and finding their own way.

The kid who holds their voice inside.

They have ideas, feelings, and creativity waiting to come out. But being seen, heard, or judged can feel uncomfortable. InnerBeat creates a safe space where they can explore their voice without pressure.

The kid who looks to others for proof.

They wonder: 'Am I good enough?' 'Did I do it right?' 'Do others like it?' They begin measuring themselves through comparison instead of connection. InnerBeat helps them reconnect with their own rhythm and discover: 'My way matters.'

How It Works

What makes InnerBeat work

InnerBeat uses beatboxing as the playground — a playful way for kids ages 6–12 to explore their voice, rhythm, and creativity without needing to get it right.

Safety

Kids explore more freely when they don't feel judged, rushed, or pressured to perform. InnerBeat creates room for mistakes, curiosity, and their own voice.

Play

Play takes the focus off getting it right. Through rhythm, sound, and creativity, kids can experiment, be silly, and discover their own way.

Practice

Every small attempt gives kids another experience of trying for themselves. Not to become perfect — but to discover: “I can try. I can learn. I can do this my way.”

InnerBeat isn't about creating perfect performers. It isn't about changing kids, correcting them, or making them fit a certain mold.

It's about giving them room to stay connected to what was already there: their rhythm, their creativity, their own voice.

Safety. Play. Practice. Not perfection.

What Changes

What this can look like at home

Confidence doesn't have to look loud. Sometimes it looks like trying again, letting a mistake be a mistake, or sharing something without first needing to know it's good enough.

Less “I can't.” More “let me try.”

When something feels hard, they become more willing to stay with it, explore, and find their own way.

Mistakes feel lighter.

Getting something wrong becomes part of learning and creating, rather than proof that they aren't good enough.

More of their own voice.

They begin sharing their ideas, feelings, and creativity with less need for approval first.

For you: less pushing, fixing, and convincing. More space for connection.

Why InnerBeat

At InnerBeat, we go deeper than confidence

Ages 6–12 are years when kids begin searching for their own inner compass. They move from pure exploration into a deeper sense of who they are — and this is where learning to trust their own voice really matters.

Confidence can grow from what a kid discovers they can do. Self-trust goes deeper: it is trusting themselves even when something feels difficult, uncertain, or doesn't go the way they hoped.

Confidence is trusting your ability. Self-trust is trusting yourself.

Confidence says: “I can do this.” Self-trust says: “I can try, explore, and trust myself even when I don't know the outcome yet.”

InnerBeat gives kids a playful way to strengthen that deeper trust through rhythm, creativity, and their own voice.

The person behind it

I know what it feels like to lose your voice, and to find your way back

I was a fearless, expressive kid who loved making people laugh. Then school, dyslexia, and reading out loud changed something. I became more self-conscious. Shame slowly replaced confidence, and I started hiding parts of myself.

Years later, I discovered beatboxing and heard three words that changed everything: “Anyone can learn.”

And I thought: “Even me?”

Through rhythm and sound, I slowly found my way back to myself.

Eventually, I was performing on stages around the world. But the biggest discovery wasn't what I could do with my voice. It was realizing that the fearless little boy I thought I had lost was never gone. He had simply spent years trying to become who he thought he needed to be.

That's why I created InnerBeat.

I believe every kid is born with their own rhythm, creativity, and voice. I want to help them stay connected to it — so they don't have to spend years finding their way back.

Since 2010, I've performed as a vocal percussionist and beatboxer with groups and choirs around the world. Since 2016, I've been helping kids explore rhythm, voice, and self-expression.

“Beatbox is simply the playground. What matters is helping kids stay connected to their own voice.”
Common questions

The things parents ask first

Does my kid need to be musical?
Not at all. InnerBeat starts with something every kid already has: their own voice and rhythm. No music experience, reading notes, or “talent” needed. This is about exploring, creating, and finding their own way.
What exactly is beatboxing?
Beatboxing is creating beats, rhythms, and sounds using nothing but the mouth and voice. You may also hear it called vocal percussion. In InnerBeat, beatbox isn't about becoming a performer or mastering a skill. It's the playground kids use to explore rhythm, creativity, and their own voice.
My kid hates performing. Will this push them?
No. There is no audience and no pressure to perform. Kids can begin privately, explore at their own pace, and share only when they want to.
Isn't this just more screen time?
The screen is only the doorway. The real experience is active: making sounds, moving, creating, and experimenting — sometimes on their own, sometimes with you. It is designed to get kids doing, not just watching.
What age is this for?
InnerBeat is designed especially for kids ages 6–12 — years when comparison, mistakes, and what other people think can begin carrying more weight.
Do I need to do it with my kid?
No. Some experiences are theirs to explore alone, and others can become playful moments together. You never need to teach, correct, or know anything about music. Join in when it feels natural — or simply give them room to explore.

Their voice is already enough

It starts with one sound.

Three simple sounds. One little song. No singing. No experience. No instrument. No need to get it right.

Just their own voice — and a playful first step into discovering what they can create with it.
